An innovative science based workshop designed to develop students awareness of 'Forensic Science' and the applications, techniques and authentic processes used.
This is a KS2 & KS3 Forensic Science Workshop and introduces and develops the skills, understanding and knowledge of scientific processes and their application to forensic science, the crime scene investigation and the importance that this specialist skills set plays within today's criminal justice system.
Cross-curricular - supporting elements of the following subjects: Science and Scientific Enquiry, Mathematics, English: Speaking & Listening, Reading, Writing, History, Technology, ICT, PHSE & Citizenship, Drama, Health & Safety, Careers Education and Guidance and Enterprise Education.
Following the continued success of hosting these CSI Style Forensic Science Workshops within the Education Sector, PULSE has recently been approached by several corporate companies to develop a 'hands on' team building workshop and this was successfully launched in November 2009.
Shows such as CSI, NCIS and Silent Witness, which have a worldwide following, have certainly raised awareness and interest in this specialist subject.
